LEIGH DOUGLAS

CO-ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

 

Leigh is a playwright and actor, represented by Shack Artists. She is currently completing the Diploma Writing & Producing Comedy at NFTS. She was nominated for the Sean Meehan Award for Waking Beauty at the 2016 Dublin International Gay Theatre Festival.

 

Her plays to date include

Sacrament (Vault Festival, The Bunker, Theatre Upstairs, Dublin), Foodie (The Hope, Islington) and Waking Beauty (The Ovalhouse, Edinburgh Fringe, Dublin International Gay Theatre Festival). 

 

In 2018, she curated Minerva's night of testimony in partnership with the In Her Shoes Campaign in support of the Repeal the 8th Movement in the Republic of Ireland. 

 

She trained at The Gaiety School of Acting and the University of York. She is also an alumnus of NYT, the Screenwriting Academy at the Seattle Film School and the Theatrebridge program at Brown University. She has previously performed with Minerva Productions (Sacrament, Foodie), Not Cricket Productions (The Reluctant Dragon, The Secret Garden, Damsels in Success) and G&T Theatre (Lilies on the Land).
