LEIGH DOUGLAS CO-ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Leigh is a playwright and actor. In 2018, she curated Minerva's night of testimony in partnership with the In Her Shoes Campaign in support of the Repeal the 8th Movement in the Republic of Ireland. She was nominated for the Sean Meehan Award for Waking Beauty at the 2016 Dublin International Gay Theatre Festival. Her plays to date include Sacrament (The Bunker, Theatre Upstairs, Dublin), Foodie (The Hope, Islington) and Waking Beauty (The Ovalhouse, Edinburgh Fringe, Dublin International Gay Theatre Festival). She trained at The Gaiety School of Acting: The National Theatre School of Ireland and the University of York. She is also an alumnus of NYT, the Screenwriting Academy at the Seattle Film School, Acting in Shakespeare and Contemporary Theatre at Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Theatrebridge program at Brown University. She has previously performed with The Minerva Collective (Sacrament, Foodie), Not Cricket Productions (The Reluctant Dragon, The Secret Garden, Damsels in Success) G&T Theatre (Lilies on the Land).
